History of Corporate Resource Group
Corporate Resource Group was formed in 1979 in Mission, Kansas. At that time the business consisted of 4 offices totaling 1,200 square feet of space. The focus was selling custom printed business forms, representing non-direct manufacturers.
As time progressed customers liked the cost effective service based approach and were asking CRG to expand product lines and to add warehousing and distribution. By being attentive to our customer’s needs and listening to their ideas we developed our CRG one-stop fulfillment program. This approach has resulted in our developing a wide line of cost-effective products and close relationships with both our customers and wholesale vendors.
In 1986 CRG built a 15,000 square foot office building near I-35 & Lamar in Mission, Kansas, providing space for additional employees and tenant space. Then in 1990 CRG started a 5,000 square foot printing plant/small warehouse in a customer’s facility which was also located in Mission, Kansas to enhance CRG’s “one-stop solution” fulfillment concept.
In 1998 the office building was sold, and a 33,000 square foot building was purchased near I-35 & 87th. This facility was divided into three areas consisting of 11,000 square feet office, 11,000 printing plant, and 11,000 warehouse. This move combined with technology allowed CRG to fulfill our customer’s immediate printing needs, as well as room to store and ship materials as needed for customers.
The Lenexa facility was sold and in 2005 the company moved to our present location in Olathe, Kansas in the 500,000 square foot Gerson Company facility near I-35 & 151st. The Gerson Company has a long standing mentoring relationship with CRG. This move provided CRG office and printing plant space, while allowing very significant warehouse expansion space to facilitate its growing web-based fulfillment business which saves clients time, money, and space.
The current business climate makes it imperative that all businesses learn to accomplish “more with less.” Thus CRG’s web based proactive one-stop fulfillment program allows customers to consolidate their needs and redeploy resources to effectively focus on their company’s vision and objectives.
